Work Diary - Location Back of Head

In this session we were studying the formal element of portraiture but instead of taking photographs of the face we were told to take them of the back of peoples heads. We had two different settings, in the studio and on location.
When we went on location, it was easier to find a variety of different backgrounds to capture the different backs of peoples heads against. I didn't find this topic very hard at all.

Progression; If i was to redo this session i again would get the models to do more interesting things as i feel the photographs i took are very boring. This is an example of the kind of photograph which although it is not extremely interesting it is not simplistic.

I like this photograph of Meghan because it focuses on her hair and blurs out the background, this is a quality of portraiture which is key.

This is another picture of Meghan, i like this photograph because instead of there being just one object in the background there are two which makes the picture less boring.
